Welcome to BC’s most thorough hand-curated map & listing of craft breweries, cideries and distilleries. This map separates Breweries from Brewpubs and categorizes things like Production Breweries and Brewery Taps. It attempts to track all new BC breweries on the horizon, as well as those that have closed. It also includes a dozen other categories around BC craft, such as Taphouses, Bottle Shops, Homebrew Shops, Clubs & Societies, Events & Festivals, Agricultural, Tours, Education, Media and other industry organizations. With over 600 entries, this is a map for the uber geeks of #BCCraftBeer.

Prefer an alphabetical listing of just active breweries and cideries? This map was created by importing data from the All Licensed Establishments in B.C. spreadsheet provided by the BC Liquor & Cannabis Regulation Branch.
At the beginning of 2020, there were over 200 breweries, almost 100 distilleries, and 50 cideries or meaderies actively licenced by the BC government.

This blast from the recent past illustrates the two main waves of growth in the craft brewing era across much of North America. After the “ripple” caused by 1980s pioneers around 1984 came a big wave in the mid-1990s peaking in 1997, followed by a stagnant plateau phase in the 2000s.
