Backcountry Brewing – This Ain’t No Garden Party, Brother Review
In the grand view of the craft renaissance, Backcountry Brewing has a relatively short history. But in the three years they’ve been extant, they’ve carved out a nice reputation for IPAs. With all the examples they’ve produced in past months, we’re pulling out a few to have a look at what to expect. Here’s one we sampled this year.
This Ain’t No Garden Party, Brother was a very drinkable Hazy DIPA. Very pleasant smelling, with hints of oranges, mandarin and vanilla on the nose. The flavour was slightly reminiscent of orange sherbet…but not in an artificial way.
Like many NEIPAs, TANGP packs a tropical punch, in this case from Sabro, Citra and Mosaic. Backcountry notes that there is “super unique coconut flair” provided by the Sabro hop. Check out the details and rating below.
FYI, in case you’re not familiar with our scoring: this rating is pretty high…not surprising for this brewery. Stay tuned for more of their IPAs both in our review listing and at their online store, at
