Dogwood Brewing - London Fog Session Ale Review Dogwood Brewing – London Fog Earl Gray Tea & Vanilla Ale Review

Dogwood Brewing has taken an English inspiration in creating what they are calling the London Fog. This session beer is made using earl gray tea, vanilla and has a low 15 IBUs. From the 473ml can this beer is clear, golden coloured and has tow fingers of head that settles without a trace. The aroma is strong with earl gray tea aromas with a sweetness and creaminess on the nose from the vanilla. There is also a light orange peel like character in the aroma. Tasting the beer it is light bodied and malty up front. A dryness takes over the mouth feel with the notes of tea in some strength. The Vanilla is quite mellow but does add a slight sweetness to the mix. This beer may not taste quite like your London Fog or Earl Gray Tea Misto but it does have the core of the flavours included for a subtle resemblance.
