Spinnaker’s Brewery – Juice Monkey Tropical IPA Review

Victoria’s Spinnaker’s Brewery has released an eastern-styled IPA called the Juice Monkey. This beer pours from the 473ml can a colour of hazy amber and is topped with a finger and a half of lightly lacing head. The aroma is very fruity with strong notes of pineapple and tangerine. Tasting the beer, it is light bodied for a 6% IPA and has less of the fruit character than in the nose but it is still prominent. Along side the citrus and pineapple flavours comes a weak malt character and mellow hop bitterness. The finish is quite neutral with the body diminishing with the flavour leaving a mellow fruit character behind.
