Dead Frog Brewery - Key Lime Milkshake IPA Review Dead Frog Brewing Co – CREAM Key Lime Milkshake IPA Review

Joining the brigade of Milkshake IPAs, Dead Frog has taken a dessert-inspired approach with the Key Lime Milkshake IPA. This beer comes in 650ml bottles and pours a lightly hazy colour of amber. Less hazy than expected the beer has two fingers of lacing head and has an aroma of lime, vanilla and tropical fruit. Tasting the beer it kicks off with a thick texture on the tongue and a tropical fruit tone that takes charge. This hop-flavour builds into a mellow tartness and sweetness from the key limes. As the sweet and sour comes through, so does the IPA bitterness leaving a bitter-sweet lingering finish. Overall this beer is unique and big flavoured. The bitterness is a strong contrast to the sweetness and tartness also present but helps to balance what would otherwise be a fairly sweet beer.

Alcohol – 6.5%
IBU – 45
Size – 650ml bottles
