Hearthstone Brewery – Wyld Raspberry Berliner Weisse Review

The Wyld Raspberry Berliner Weisse from Hearthstone Brewery is a refreshing and sessionable summer beer.  Pouring from the 355mL can, the beer presents a clear, light raspberry-red colour with one finger of quickly dissipating white head that leaves no lacing behind.  The aroma is of fresh raspberries mingling with cereal grains, some sweetness and a light note of freshly-squeezed lemon.  In the mouth the flavour is initially of a sharp lemon tartness, followed up by a hit of sour raspberry.  These prominent flavours are joined by notes of wheat and and berry.  This Berliner Weisse offers a light and puckery sour beer with a long and lingering sour finish.
