Field House Brewing Light Sour BottleField House Brewing – Kiwi Fruit + Rhubarb Light Sour Review

Field House Brewing in Abbotsford began their Light – Dark series with the Light Sour with Kiwi and Rhubarb.  The beer pours a clear amber with one finger of quickly dissipating  off-white head that leaves no lacing behind in the glass.  The beer gives off aromas of fresh rhubarb, apples, strawberry, and lemon, with hints of green grapes and apricot.  In the mouth the Light Sour offers flavour of unripe strawberry, lemon peel, and rhubarb, but lingering in the background are notes of sour kiwi and a light earthy note.  This sour beer presents a light mouthfeel that is refreshing when coupled with the tartness. There is a slight perceived bitterness due to the sourness of the beer that manifests as grapefruit pithy bitterness in the mouth.
