Fuggles & Warlock Craftworx – Super Smash Brewers IPA Review
Teaming up with Doan’s Craft Brewery, Fuggles and Warlock has brewed up a Smash IPA called the Super Smash Brewers IPA. Best to try this beer first time around as with the cease and desist likely in the mail this could be a one-time brew. From the bomber bottle this beer is a golden colour and has thick finger’s worth of head that tops the glass. The light coloured IPA has an aroma that is tropical and fruity with a light herbal character. Coming from the Vic Secret hops this is a fragrant but not overpowering IPA from the aroma. Tasting the beer the bitterness is quite low and the hop character subdued. The Pilsner malt gives a mellow and light base which would be overpowered if the hops were bigger but still the overall experience is quite light. Some may argue that this is more of a Pale Ale than an IPA but regardless it is a light and unique flavour for a SMASH beer.
