Hearthstone Brewery – Subaquatic Domicile IPA Review
The new Subaquatic Domicile IPA from Hearthstone Brewery is the North Vancouver brewery’s entry into the fruity IPA craze with the addition of pineapple juice and the use of fruity hops. The beer pours a cloudy golden yellow with two fingers of fluffy white head that leaves plenty of lacing behind in the glass. Aromas of citrus and pineapple are initially prominent and joined by wheat and berries tones. In the mouth the IPA presents flavours of pineapple and lemon, along with tropical fruit, and a slightly woody and resin note as well. The mouthfeel is thick and almost creamy with a long and lingering bitter finish that sets it apart from other beers of this style.
