Riot Brewing Co. – Sorry We Took So Long Saison Review
Riot Brewing took a bit of time to open their doors and as an apology for their tardiness have brewed the “Sorry We Took So Long” Saison. This beer is a light 4.2% alcohol and is mellow at 19 IBUs. Pouring the beer it is golden-amber in colour and has one finger of head which settles without a trace. The aroma is mellow with a Belgian yeast character, light caramel sweetness, wheat and a faint fruit character. The smell from this beer is light and to style with a smooth mellowness to it. Sipping the beer it too is light and the Belgian yeast character stands out along with the mellow sweetness. This is a beer that is subtle yet stands out with its easy going flavour and still a complexity with the yeast, wheat, mild sweetness and subtle fruit tones. As far as the early-on Riot beers go, this appears to be one of the best so far.
