Steamworks Brewing Company – Hop Attack Fresh Hop IPA 2016 Review
Steamworks Brewing has once more worked with the Sartori hop farm in the Fraser Valley to source the hops for their 2016 fresh hop IPA. The beer pours from the bomber bottle a clear golden colour with one finger of dense, lasting head that leaves behind plenty of lacing on the glass. Aromas of pine and citrus co-mingle with grassy and bready tones. In the mouth, the beer offers flavours of earth, crusty bread, and lemon peel with some mild resin tones. The 2016 Hop Attack is a fairly light bodied IPA that is very drinkable with a light but lingering bitterness, yet lacks the distinct flavours imparted by the fresh hops.
