Red Truck Beer – Zero Tolerance ESB Review
As a spring release, Red Truck Beer has brought out their Zero Tolerance ESB. The beer pours from the bomber bottle a clear amber colour with one and a half fingers of off white head. The foam dissipates fairly quickly leaving no lacing on the glass. Zero Tolerance gives off bready malt aromas, along with grassy and earthy hop tones. In the mouth, flavours of crusty bread are dominant, along with some mild roasted tones. The addition of rye malts to this beer should produce a bit of a spicy note but this subtlety seems lost among these more dominant bready flavours. Prominent malt notes are followed by floral and earthy hop flavours with some mild bitterness and a hint of dryness on the finish. The beer offers a medium body and is not overly carbonated presenting a smooth mouthfeel with plenty of drinkability.
