Driftwood Brewery – Cry Me A River Gose Review
Driftwood was the first BC brewery to release a Gose and they are the first to release a second Gose. As a replacement for their first brew the Cry Me A River comes in at 5.0% and is sold in bomber bottles. This beer pours from the bottle as a colour of gold which is opaque and topped with nearly three fingers of dense and lacing head. The aroma is light with coriander and orange tones to it along with a slightly sour note. The flavour has a light sourness to it along with an orange and coriander spice note. This beer is more fruit forward than your typical Gose and lighter on the salt. That saltiness does grow with time though and while the first sip may seem light by the end of a glass the saltiness is easily picked out. The Cry Me A River is quite easy drinking and resembles a combination of a light Witbier and Gose together. It is a great beer to sip in the warm days of summer.
