Ravens Brewing – Elderflower White IPA Review
Ravens Brewing is releasing their seasonal Elderflower White IPA and 25% of all net proceeds from the sale of the beer go to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, BC and Yukon Division. Ravens Brewing has a personal connection to the disease and are eager to help raise money for a worthwhile cause through a great beer. The Elderflower White IPA pours from the bomber bottle a cloudy straw colour with 2 fingers of dense, white head that dissipates very slowly leaving behind some lacing. Aromas of mango, lychee, pear, and fruity-floral tones are initially dominant, and followed closely by some subtle lemon and orange notes. In the mouth the flavour is of wheat malt up front with strong citrus peel flavours. Sweet tangerine notes accompany flavours of pineapple and a bitter punch that dissipates leaving a dry finish. Check out the story behind the beer on Ravens Brewing’s Facebook page.
