Phillips Brewery Stump Botanic Ale Review Phillips Brewing Co. – Stump Coast Forest Botanical Ale Review

Inspired by the Phillips Stump Gin the Stump Botanical Ale is a strong beer infused with a similar spice medley as their BC inspired Gin. This beer pours from the bomber bottle as a light golden colour topped with a full three fingers of head. The head settles leaving light lacing behind and smells intensely of juniper, coriander and both lemon & orange peel. The aroma is massive with a very big Gin-herb infusion. Tasting the beer the fir tree notes come through in an earthy, citrus-pine fashion and lead into the strong coriander and juniper flavour. As the flavour progresses the citrus notes become more pronounced with a light rind-bitterness that augments the hops. Gin fans celebrate – this is the big, herbal experience that you have been waiting for!!!
