Ravens Brewing – Dry Irish Stout Review
Ravens Brewing released their Dry Irish Stout in time for St Patrick’s Day. The beer pours from the bomber bottle a rich black. Two fingers of lasting, brown head sit atop the beer with plenty of lacing left behind on the glass. On the nose, prominent roasted aromas dominate, as well as some light coffee and cocoa tones that make themselves known as the beer warms. Drinking the beer provides a pleasantly light, burnt coffee flavour along with some rich roasted notes. This Dry Irish Stout sits in the mouth with a good, balanced body and a slight creamy texture. Roasted bitterness lingers on the tongue with the dry finish. As a seasonal offering from Ravens Brewing this beer may not be around much longer. If you missed it this year, keep on the lookout around March next year when it should again resurface.
