BC Tree Fruits Cider Co. – Broken Ladder Apples & Hops Cider Review
The BC Tree Fruits Cider Company, also known as BCTF Cider has expanded their lineup under the Broken Ladder name to included the Apples & Hops, a Dry Hopped Apple Cider. From the 473ml can this cider pours as a crystal clear colour with a tinge of greenish yellow. The Carbonation bubbles excessively as you pour and settles immediately without a trace. Smelling the cider it is light and apple forward. The hops play a small roll in the aroma but do add a light citrus and grapefruit like tone. There is the slightest of pine notes that sneak into the aroma as well. The flavour starts off with a sweet apple tone that builds into a tartness reminiscent of biting into a granny smith. The hops do not come through in any significance in the flavour but do again add a light citrus tone to the taste. Compared to many other local ciders the Apples & Hops is significantly dryer and apple forward with a nice tartness. This cider is light, refreshing and a little different than typical.
Alcohol – 6.0%
