Fuggles & Warlock Craftworks – Super 8-Bit IPA Review
Fuggles and Warlock have stepped back into the 1990s with their Nintendo themed Super 8-Bit IPA. This beer is the first of the new, Experimental IPA series and uses, you guessed it, eight different types of hops. The 8-Bit pours from the bomber a colour of amber with two fingers of lacing head. The aroma is massive with fruit including notes of grapefruit, pineapple, Mango along with a kick of pine and citrus. The aroma is very enjoyable. The flavour isn’t as much of a fruit bowl as the nose but is still quite big. Starting off, a citrus bitter tone hits the palate and builds into a lightly sweet, fruity mid section. Here the notes of grapefruit, mango and pineapple come to life. As the fruity notes fade a fairly deep bitterness settles in for the finish. Left behind on the tongue is a strong hop bitterness and a lingering memory of tropical fruit. So settle in to your 8-bit themed evening with an 8-Bit IPA from Fuggles & Warlock.

Gotta love this beer. One of my favourite BC IPA’s right now.
