Red Collar Brewing Co. – Wobbly Bob English Strong Ale Review
Red Collar Brewing has been keeping things on the strong side with their limited bottle releases. The Wobbly Bob is and English Strong Ale that tips the scales at 10.6% and 66 IBUs. Pouring this beer from the bomber bottle it appears a clear copper colour with a finger and a half of very dense and heavily lacing head. The aroma is malty and lightly sweet with a faint booziness to it. Moderate northwest hops come into the picture as well making for an aroma reminiscent of something blending a Barley Wine with an ESB. The body is thick and creamy while the flavour starts off with a boozy kick. Toffee, caramel, toasted malt and a mellow hop bitterness all come to fruition together making for a big and intense flavour experience. The Wobbly Bob packs a punch but it is still relatively balanced with a smoothness to it. Be careful, whether your name is Bob or not, you will likely be a little tipsy after this brew.
