Vancouver’s Beatty Street has a New Brewery – The Central City Brewpub
The Central City Brewpub has been a longstanding Staple of Surrey, British Columbia. As much as Surrey has cherished the gem of a craft beer spot there are a large number of people in Vancouver that do not often stray so far to the East. To pique the interests of Vancouver’s army of craft beer enthusiasts The Central City Brewers & Distillers have taken over the old Dix’s location on Beatty Street and opened a new brewpub location.
Located at 871 Beatty Street the new Central City Brewpub is serving up your favourite Red Racer beers, Seraph Spirits and Hopping Mad Cider. Not just that though, there are a total of 40 taps pouring craft beer with all your favourite BC brews from other breweries on tap as well.
Inside the revitalized space you will notice a contemporary feel with a homage to the past. The legacy of Dix’s lives on while the fresh face of Central City Brewers lights the room. Sitting down for a pint at the equisite solid wood tables you will feel the comfort of a traditional small-town pub with the class and sophistication of a brand new, Vancouver based brewery.
It isn’t just about beer at the new Central City brewery. Food does not take second fiddle but rather accompany the beer as a duet at the front of stage. The man behind the mouthwatering flavours is the one and only Carl Sawatsky. A BBQ inspired menu features an elaborate build-your-own-burger section, Pulled Pork, Ribs and some tantilizing tasters such as the Devils on Horesback, Steak Tartar and a traditional Southwest Chili.
The official opening date for the new, Vancouver Central City Brewpub is Friday July 24th. Swing by, have a pint, taste the food, and tell them that Beer Me BC sent you!
