Central City & CFOX Release 2015 Bacon Maple Ale
Central City Brewers & Distillers has paired up with the Jeff O’Neil Show and CFOX to once again bring the Bacon Maple Ale to BC. This year the beer is slightly more mellow that last with smoked beech-wood tones along with a light maple sweetness. The beer is surprisingly sessionable and can even be enjoyed by a vegetarian (there is no real bacon in there).
To celebrate the launch of this uniquely flavoured beer the brewing/radio duo met up at The Pint in Vancouver for a pancake dinner served with bacon and beer. Beer can be a breakfast drink as pancakes can be a dinner meal. The important part is that you get a healthy portion of both. Celebrating year #2 of the Red Racer Bacon Maple Ale the 2015 brew is more sessionable than before and offers a unique twist on smoked beers.
To try the Red Racer Bacon Maple Ale it is time to hit the streets. In 2014 the beer sold out in two weeks and 2015 will likely be quicker. Head to your local liquor store and look for the bottle with flapjacks on the label. Chances are that there will only bee one bottle that meets that description.
It’s pretty darn good!
