Spinnakers Brewery – Uber Blonde Strong Belgian Ale Review

Spinnaker’s Brewery has re-branded and re-released their “Uber” Blonde Ale with an impressive 8.2% alcohol level. Technically this beer is a Belgian Tripel, not a Blonde ale but the name will lead you to expect a few things from the brew. This beer pours from the bottle as a slightly cloudy – golden colour with a fine, thin head which settles very quickly without a trace left on the glass. From the Uber Blonde comes a Belgian-wheat aroma with a coriander spice to it. The flavour is light despite the high alcohol level. this light and low carbonation beer is a light balance of spice, wheat and sessionability. The beer is big and bold but somehow remains light and very enjoyable.
