Main Street Brewing Belgian Bonsai Review Main Street Brewing Co. – Belgian Bonsai Ale Review

Main Street Brewing Company has brewed the Belgian Bonsai Ale. This Belgian-American infusion of brewery styles is labeled with a disgruntled looking lion who clearly has an issue or two. From a 650ml bottle this beer is a slightly cloudy, amber in colour and is topped with a finger’s worth of lightly lacing head. The aroma from this beer is of Belgian yeast, wheat, citrus and a kick of hop. There Also seems to a be an almost dill-like aroma to the body. The body is rather big for a fairly modest 6.5% alcohol with a combination of flavours including wheat, Belgian yeast, citrus, dill and a rye-hop like bitterness. This is by no means a typical Belgian Ale and not an american-style craft beer either – it is a blending of traditions into something unique and delicious regardless of which side of the fence you are on.
