Howe Sound Brewing Co. – Sky Pilot Northwest Pale Ale Review Review
The Howe Sound Brewing Company has always liked to have locally inspired names for their locally inspired craft beer. With the opening of the Squamish Chief Goldola comes the release of the Sky Pilot, a Northwest Style Pale Ale. This beer comes in a Howe-Sound-typical 1l resealable bottle and pours a light, cloudy, amber colour topped with three fingers of lacing head. The Sky pilot smells of piney hops, citrus and malt. The flavour starts off with a light mouthfeel qhich quickly builds into a toasted, caramel malt. A slight burnt flavour bulds just before the citrus and pine hop finish starts to take charge. The finish is a combination of piney hop and caramel sweetness making for a big, unique pale ale with a ton of northwest flavour.

Just so you know the gondola project has nothing to do with the chief. The whole project sits far above all three peaks. It sits well above the Shannon Falls Peak.
