Bomber Brewing Co. – Absolute Horizon Cascadian Dark Ale Review
Bomber Brewing is booming with bombers. The third limited release to come from the Bomber Brewing Company since opening is a Cascadian Dark Ale (CDA) called the Absolute Horizon. This beer appears a rather dark colour of deep brown. While it is tough to see into the beer there are noticeable pieces of sediment floating in the beer. Topped with two finger so f light and lacing head the Absolute Darkness CDA smells rich of chocolate malts and a piney-rich hop bitterness. The combination of chocolate and hop is a tantalizing forecast of what is to come. The flavour starts off with chocolate is a slightly creamy package. This initial lightness builds into a big hop middle that pushes straight to the back of the palate. As the hop mellows slightly the chocolate tones return giving a dry, hop bitter finish along side some smoothing chocolate notes. If you are considering tasting this beer you are standing on the event horizon as one step further and you will be sucked in with no way of coming back. Give it a try, you will not regret it!
