Tree Brewing Co. – RAW Unfiltered India Pale Ale
Tree Brewing out of Kelowna does not believe in filtering the flavour out of their beers. This is why the RAW series of beers comes in it’s purest form, sediment and all. The first brew to arrive in the RAW series is an IPA in a painted, brewing equipment-inspired bottle design. The beer itself pours from the bottle a slightly clouded amber-orange colour topped with nearly three fingers of thick, lacing head which settles rather slowly. Through this thick top comes a hop forward aroma of grapefruit, lemon and a defined hop bitterness. The flavour is quite big with grapefruit tones and a slight fruit-sweetness to it. The bitterness of the hops is front stage here though with 64 IBUs steering the ship towards a clean, dry finish. Balanced flavours, strong hops and a bone dry finish give this beer some legs leading into the BC summer. grab the Raw IPA from Tree Brewing before it is gone!
