Bomber Brewing has been two years in the works and has finally opened their doors in East Vancouver. Located just east of Commercial Drive at 1488 Adanac St., not only is this close to transit, and the Commercial Drive community but it is also on a major cycling route attracting great ride-by traffic. As seems to be a recurring theme with BC brewery openings the tasting room is consistently packed as craft beer drinkers flock for growler fills, canned options and seasonal bombers.
The Bomber Brewing Company is utilizing a 15 barrel brewing system with some room for expansion in their reasonably small space. This team may have just opened their doors but they have been brewing for a while now with cans of their staple Pilsner, ESB and IPA. Additionally they have a Blonde Ale on tap and a stout in bomber bottles. All 5 options are also available for growler fills and on-site tastings.
Taking the canning approach right off the bat the brewing facility is equipped with both a canning and bottling line. With cans growing in popularity among BC craft beer drinkers this is a great step forward in providing a consistent and stable product. Plus with the summer just around the corner a bomber 6-pack makes a great backpacking accomplice.
Upon visiting the Bomber Brewing tasting room on a Saturday afternoon, as expected it was packed. With that in mind you should not expect the most intimate setting for enjoying your flight but that is not why you went in the first place. The bustling retail area is a great place to stop in for a taste and fill your growler at the same time. Their first seasonal is already out in the form of a stout and number 2 is surely just around the corner. Stay tuned on beermebc.com for reviews of all Bomber Brewing Beers coming up soon!

A great space and great people. I look forward to going back soon and doing some more reviews of their beer.
What I’ve had from these guys I’ve been impressed with. Tried them for the first time on Mayne Island of all places. Awesome IPA, the Pilsner could use a little work, but overall they are awesome. Looking forward to what they do next!
