Parallel 49 Brewing Co. – Robo Ruby Imperial Red IPA Review
In the procession of new beers coming from the Parallel 49 brewing company comes the Robo Ruby, an imperial red IPA. This extra strong ale pours into the glass topped with three thick fingers of off-white head. As this frothy top settles slowly a moderate amount of lacing is left on the glass. The beer itself is an amber-chestnut colour which is reasonably dark but still transparent. The aroma from Robo Ruby is well hopped with a west-coast piney-tone. Along side this comes a boozy scent and light tropical fruit tones tied to a caramel-like sweetness. The flavour is big with a creamy almost oily texture and a strong west-coast hop. The body is toasted with a light burnt tone to it and an almost oaky flavour. The ‘red’ addition to this beer gives a much deeper flavour profile with complexity and uniqueness. The result is a strong ale with a little more bight than you may expect. Perhaps a little too big for some this could be a bottle to share but then, if you are a hop head looking for something big and unique the full bottle may just do the trick.

I can tell you for sure that a bottle did the trick for me! Tasty stuff.
I thought it was good but the booze out powered the rest of the beer.
Haha I didn’t find it all that boozy.
