Spinnakers Gastro Brewpub – Happy New Beer Honey Kolsch Review
In true beer-pun fashion the Spinnakers Gastro Brewpub has brewed up the Happy New Beer – A Honey Kolsch to celebrate with as the clock strikes midnight on December 31st. This straw colored Kolsch pours with more than two fingers of head which settles slowly leaving a thin lacing on the sides of the glass. Through this head comes the aroma of a light and crisp Kolsch and a slight honey sweetness. This beer is well malted and relatively low in IBU making for a beer that smells crisp, light and refreshing. The flavour is light and crisp with a heavier body that builds in the finish. The end sees a slight hop finish along side the malted base. This is an easy drinking, fairly traditional Kolsch that sees just a touch of honey-sweetness to balance out the mild and light beer.
Alcohol – 4.5%
IBU – 20
Size –650ml bottle
