Whistler Brewing Co. – Lost Lake Unfiltered IPA Review
From Whistler Brewing comes the iconically named Lost Lake Unfiltered IPA. With 4 fingers of bubbly head this beer enters the glass and takes charge. The copper coloured IPA pours with great clarity given its unfiltered nature. As the head begins to settle a mellow aroma wafts through in a citrus, grapefruit, malt and minimal hop tone. The flavour doesn’t align like you may expect given the smell. The taste has a bite to it with grapefruit and passion fruit flavours shining through. A deep bitterness hits the palate coming up to the finish leaving a more bitter than expected end. At 75 IBU the bitterness takes charge in a dry and intense finish. If you like strong hop this is something to try as a flavourful and unique take on the IPA.

Definitely grapefruit. I liked this beer because I think I had had a lot of malty IPA’s prior and this was a refreshing change. Whistler has been stepping up it’s game lately, they’ve really improved over the past 18 months in my books.
Agreed Brian. The 6-packs may be a little stale but most of the new bombers being released have something quite delicious inside1
