Bowen Island Mutiny Red Ale Review

Bowen Island Brewing Co. Mutiny Red Ale Review

It has been a little while since the Bowen Island Brewing Company diversified their lineup of best-value craft beers. The newest addition to the lineup is the Mutiny Northwest Red Ale. This beer comes in 6 packs and pours from the 355ml can as a light copper-amber colour topped with two fingers of loosely packed, lacing head. The Mutiny smells rather creamy for a red ale with a caramel, lightly burnt, malted note on the nose. The flavour is light but builds into a dark, caramel and lightly burnt flavour profile. Malt forward to start, a light hop bitterness grows near the finish coming along side the burnt notes for a fairly dry, mildly bitter finish. A light metallic flavour also crosses the tongue. For being less than $10 per 6-pack this beer has a surprising amount of flavour and is quite enjoyable. This is a great beer fitting into the list of great bargains at your local liquor store.

Alcohol – 5.5%
Size – 355ml

I have loved craft beer for many years, and for the first time in my life, I opened a beer, tasted it, and poured the rest out. i would describe this beer as absolutely undrinkable.
