Lighthouse Brewing Co. – Siren Imperial Red Ale Review

The Siren Imperial Red Ale is a chestnut, amber colour that smells of hop through two fingers of thick and fluffy head. Tasting this beer The imperial aspect makes for a creamy texture while the body has a strong hop flavour with toasted and floral notes bringing the whole beer together. For a Red Ale, the IBU is pushing what is expected but the overall flavour is quite nice and easy drinking. The ABV rating of 8% does come into play in the finish adding a touch of harshness to the beer. Overall this is a good tasting brew that is hoppy, lightly sweetened and is something a little different from a great BC brewery.
