Red Racer Beer – Extra Special Bitter (ESB) Review

The Red Racer ESB is a chestnut-amber colour that pours into the glass exploding with head. Over-carbonation seems to be a trait with Red Racer beers as of lately but the taste is still great. The smell of this beer is strong with hops and toasted caramel notes. The beer’s flavour mirrors the smell with a creamy hop-ness and a touch of caramel sweetness that completes the package. This is a very enjoyable beer that has great flavour and if you can handle a bit of extra carbonation is worth picking up.

Just bought a six-pack. I was really looking for Bowen Island but it seems no longer to be on the shelves. I saw this IPA Beer made here in Surrey. Wow – this is great ale. Long may this brewer survive and this great ale continue to be available. John Spence – Surrey BC
